Maxi and Waineo in TOronto?
The Green Arm-EH have an exciting reason to follow this summer’s Canadian Shield Tournament, as two of our own could be representing their countries on the international stage. Ben Waine (New Zealand) and Maksym Talovierov (Ukraine) may both be in action as their national teams take part in the inaugural competition, set to be held at BMO Field in Toronto on June 7 and 10.
The four-nation tournament, featuring Canada, Ukraine, Côte d’Ivoire, and New Zealand, will serve as crucial preparation for teams ahead of next summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup. New Zealand and Ukraine will square off on June 10, giving Waine and Talovierov a chance to showcase their talents against high-caliber international opposition.
For Canadian-based Argyle supporters, this is a rare opportunity to see our players in action on Canadian soil! Tickets go on sale March 21 at 2 p.m. ET via BMOField.com.
Let’s hope to see some Green Arm-EH representation in Toronto this summer!
